Milo
This is a portrait I shot of my son, Milo. I used just one small rectangular soft box with a grid placed about 3 feet further from camera than the subject and aimed at about 40deg towards camera from parallel to the lens plane. This ensured no spill on the backdrop and a beautiful edge along Milo’s face and highlighted cheeks. I also used the power of Mom to keep him looking away from me. The expression was one of many and told the tranquil story I was after with this image. I have to say, you gotta work fast with the little ones!
